How It Works

Clarity through separation.

A common problem with AI tools is that they blend their own reasoning with external facts. When studying the Bible, that blending is dangerous. Matthew Bible AI is architected to keep Scripture and explanation strictly separate.

1. Direct Bible Retrieval

When you ask a question about a passage, Matthew first determines the exact verses needed. It then queries the licensed NIV API directly. The AI does not recite the Bible from memory; it acts as a librarian, pulling the authoritative text and presenting it to you visually distinct from its own words.

2. AI-Assisted Explanation

Only after the references are resolved does Matthew generate an explanation. It uses the retrieved Scripture as its sole foundational context. The explanation is tailored to your chosen depth (Simple, Study, or Deep) and focuses on historical context, linguistic nuances, and theological implications.

3. Pastoral Guidance

We believe study should lead to application. Matthew is guided by a historic Baptist framework, ensuring that practical takeaways emphasize grace, faith, and a personal walk with Christ. It provides guidance with warmth and reverence, but it is explicitly designed to supplement—not replace—your local church and pastor.
